Enterprise Programme
Real jobs. Real support. Real hope.
Many young adults on our local estates are eager to move forward - but face complex barriers to employment. Some have struggled in school or family life. Others are navigating mental health challenges or additional needs, or lack the qualifications and confidence needed to access work. Most of all, they need someone to believe in them.
Our Enterprise Programme walks with these young adults, offering not just employment but mentoring, skills training and the hope of a better future - all within a paid, structured, faith-rooted programme tailored to each person.
Meet Shannon
Shannon grew up on Strawberry Vale Estate and faced many challenges along the way, including family difficulties and early parenthood. Through Hope North London’s Enterprise Programme, she found a supportive community and the practical skills she needed to rebuild her life. Her journey shows how with the right encouragement and opportunities, people can discover their potential and step confidently into a brighter future.

The Programme
Key to the success of the programme is its holistic nature which extends far beyond just the provision of a job. Rather, the programme includes:

-
Life Skills Training – with topics such as healthy cooking on a limited budget, managing finances, CV writing, presentation skills and building healthy relationships;
-
Weekly line management and regular mentoring;
-
A job in an enterprise business and related job skill training.
Hope Cafe
Hope Cafe launched in 2020 as the first project in the Enterprise programme.

We provide our trainees with the new opportunities, helping build their confidence and develop work skills. We also encourage having an ambition for a fulfuilling life, and empower them as they build new careers.

Our holistic programme lasts 12-18 months, equipping staff with transferable skills for the working world through mentoring, life skills input and on-the-job training.

We are now on our third cohort of trainees.
Congratulations to our successful Enterprise Programme graduates
