Enterprise Programme
Transforming Lives Through the World of Work
Through our estates work, we have identified a strategic need to help unemployed young adults, often in the 20-30 year old age bracket, get into regular long term employment. These young adults often have multiple barriers hindering them from accessing the workplace, such as poor time management skills, work ethic shortcomings and lack of qualifications.

To address this need, Hope North London provide an 18-month holistic programme to encourage, equip and enable them to enter the broader job market as capable, committed and considerate employees. We pay the Real London Living Wage to all our Trainees on an hourly basis.
The Programme
Key to the success of the programme is its holistic nature which extends far beyond just the provision of a job. Rather, the programme includes:

-
Life Skills Training – with topics such as healthy cooking on a limited budget, managing finances, CV writing, presentation skills and building healthy relationships;
-
Weekly line management and regular mentoring;
-
A job in an enterprise business and related job skill training.
Hope Cafe
Hope Cafe launched in 2020 as the first project in the Enterprise programme.

We provide our trainees with the new opportunities, helping build their confidence and develop work skills. We also encourage having an ambition for a fulfuilling life, and empower them as they build new careers.

Our holistic programme lasts 12-18 months, equipping staff with transferable skills for the working world through mentoring, life skills input and on-the-job training.

We are now on our second cohort of trainees.
